What's New for the 2018 Toyota Corolla?

The 2018 Toyota Corolla is the new up and coming Toyota vehicle to hit the market and the latest out of the Corolla model line. The new Corolla is part of the eleventh generation of Corolla model cars and contains many of the same features and formats as the model from the previous year. The performance of the Toyota Corolla is similar to many other sedans, starting with the fact that the fuel economy allows for an EPA of 32 combined miles per gallon, with 28 MPGs for city driving and 36 when driving on the highway**. The car runs on regular unleaded fuel and contains a front wheel drive train, a 6-speed manual transmission and inline 4 cylinders. As for the engine, it can produce a rather meager 132 horsepower rating, with 6,000 wheel rotations per minute and up to 128 pounds by feet of torque.

Along with being a new model for the year, the 2018 Toyota Corolla does come with a set of interior special features and safety precautions readily made. Being a new sedan, it can seat up to five people, including the driver, with both front seats containing a 4-way and 6-way manual adjustment setting for the passenger and driver seats respectively. The driver's seat is completely height adjustable and they are all decorated in premium cloth. Adaptive cruise control remains a special feature for drivers, as does the inclusion of audio and cruise control settings onto the steering wheel. The entertainment system contains six audio speakers inside, complete with the typical AM/FM stereo and a USB port with external media control. Some trim levels do contain three months of access to a satellite radio service, however. When it comes to safety, children are always considered first, with the inclusion of rear door safety locks and seating anchors to make sure they are secure. Stability and traction control have been improved over the last year, and the lighting system contains daytime running lights and an LED headlamp. A special lane departure warning system is now in place in order to help drivers avoid accidents because of a lack of vision in a driver's blind spot.
