Where previous models received their power from a 3.5-liter V6 gas engine, newer versions get a turbocharged engine under the hood, for an increase in torque output from 263 pound-feet of torque in 2022, to a robust 309 pound-feet of torque in 2023.
Elsewhere, the 2023 Toyota Highlander also adds an available hands-free, power-operated liftgate to select trims, as well as a dual-screen display with 12.3-inch screens on top trims.

In addition to increased torque and new features, the 2023 Toyota Highlander also includes many of the same characteristics that have made it a hit with drivers for more than two decades.
